So it seems Caltrans aims to keep this going as slowly as possible. If you have a few spare minutes, please send an email to the following people explaining to them why we need to finish this project. The first person is Jim Bozionelos (jim_bozionelos@dot.ca.gov). The second person is Ratna Amin with the City of Oakland (ramin@oaklandnet.com). The third and final person is Barbara Boxer. She’s a little more difficult to get a hold of. You have to fill out the little form on her website:

VOLUNTEER NOW, we need your help

I.fund raising crew.
a.organizing any kind of benefit.
i. bands
ii. art shows
iii. raffles
iv. telemarketing

II.clean up crew
a. cleans the bridge and the neighborhood
b. graffiti buffing

III.Public Relations crew
a. raising awareness about the bridge
i. talking to the news and doing interviews
ii. answer to violence,free safe place for kids.
iii. built by local residents and kids.

IV.permits crew
a.tracking down any info and or people we
need to obtain a permit.

V.building crew
a.contractors welcome.
b.general laborers.if you don’t know shit we got
something you can do.
c.concrete finishers.
d.machine operators; experience with a bobcat ,back hoe , or excavators

There’s not much here just yet, but we will be adding more photo galleries and news soon. In the mean time, help us out with what you can. We want to continue to build this park out and get it going. Your support will help our efforts to try and get Oakland what it needs, a skate park built by the hands of the people that skate it.
